Verdict

Plenty of smartly-bred newcomers from top yards and the market has proved a good guide in the past with six of the last 10 winners starting favourite. Tea In Transvaal has been beaten a total of less than three lengths in her races to date and has an obvious chance on her fine effort at Goodwood though Criteria, who was just behind in fourth, has more scope and may reverse the form. CASUAL SMILE probably has the best form of those with experience as she made a fine debut over 7f here last month and though only third in a four-horse affair at Ascot her rivals were more experienced and she wasn't beaten far. She gets the vote though Brown Diamond and Fray have interesting jockey bookings on their debuts.
