Verdict

With three runners, Mark Johnston will be hopeful of taking home a large chunk of a considerable prize. Joe Fanning rides Thirsk winner Secret Brief so it's probably safe to assume he's the stable pick, though the drop back to 6f is a worry. HEARTBREAK HERO ran a blinder when runner-up to the well-treated Bond's Girl at Doncaster nine days ago having won his previous two starts. He'll be due a rest soon but can land this if at his best. Bossy Guest was only beaten half-a-length in a Listed race at Ripon last month and rates a danger but Ballymore Castle hasn't raced since finishing second in the Woodcote Stakes at Epsom in June and looks a tricky ride.
