Verdict

With no obvious pacemaker in the field, tactics are likely to prove crucial here and therefore this is a difficult race as a betting medium, but we'll just take And Toto Too to score at the expense of Tiber Tiger and Little Venice. The latter, trained by Chris Wall, has been running well all year, is consistent under these conditions, and should be involved in the finish. Tiber Tiger is tough, progressive and has form in small fields. Conditions suit and a three pound rise for his recent win at Redcar, where the third Zap Attack has franked the form by winning since, is more than fair. Clann A Cougar and Magic Myth have lost their form, Macs Talisman cannot be completely discounted, but marginal preference goes to And Toto Too. David Evans' gelding has been a model of consistency this year, having won at Wolverhampton, Chepstow and Salisbury. A fair third at Catterick last time, he will appreciate this stiffer track and just gets the vote.
