MUKHADRAM arrived at the Wood Ditton with a tall reputation and started favourite. He couldn't cope with Mariner's Cross but the form has worked out well and he should go one better unless there is something special among the newcomers. Ibtahaj, who cost 200,000 guineas as a yearling, started 20/1 when third at Newcastle in September and finished tailed off on his reappearance at Newbury. Greatest also cost a fortune as a yearling and is the first foal of a mare who won a Listed contest over a mile. He's one to note as is Utterance, whose dam won the French 1000 Guineas. Skirmish should have more to offer this season and looks best of the remainder.
