      Verdict

It could pay to give another chance to TAKE TEN who is narrowly preferred to Jira and Robinson Cruso. Mark Johnston's colt has not done a lot wrong on the racecourse so far and he was done no favours when the winner came across him at Doncaster last time, so he should be rated better than the bare form would suggest. The return to 6f is also a plus for him here and he looks poised to run a big race. Jira won a Listed race at Newmarket back in June but she has been difficult to place off the back of that. She shaped with a bit more encouragement last time when she was dropped back to today's trip, but on this occasion others are preferred. Robinson Cruso ran well to chase home Sunraider on his debut at Windsor and this son of Footstepsinthesand is sure to learn plenty for the experience. Kona Coast shed his maiden tag at Brighton earlier in the month and he looks to be going the right way, although he will need to take another step in the right direction to get competitive. Take Ten makes most appeal and he gets the vote.
