Verdict

Foxy Forever won at York on his only start of last year but is 10lb higher for his return to action. Asian Trader has been raised a further 5lb for finishing second on the July course here last summer while PORT ALFRED returned a losing favourite on the Polytrack on his reappearance. But the latter was beaten less than a length and finished clear of the rest including Green Monkey so Charlie Appleby's charge gets a chance to make amends in this. Breccbennach has leading claims chasing a hat-trick after victories at Lingfield and Windsor and Cincinnati Kit drops back down in class after a couple of outings in Listed company. Musselburgh winner Silvanus failed to cope with a 7lb rise at Thirsk but Sir Pedro is slipping back down towards a winning mark.
