Verdict

There's not much separating these at the weights with only Poker Gold hard to fancy. The remainder all have a shout though Cosette is the only one to have won over today's trip with a cosy victory in soft ground at Windsor. Sebastian Beach is not certain to improve for the extra 4f but Pershing finished ahead of Crystal Pearl when runner-up over 1m2f at Yarmouth and Marco Botti's charge should be thereabouts again. LUCK OF THE GAME's stamina also has to be taken on trust but he caught the eye staying on late to make a winning debut over a mile at Wolverhampton last month. There should be plenty more to come from him and David Simcock's colt gets the nod.
