REGENERATION is unexposed and is nominated to see off the hard-to-win-with Barliffey and King Colombo, for whom rain would be a boon. Simon Callahan's son of Chevalier has now won two of his last three starts and the way that he finished his race at Lingfield last time out suggested that this longer trip should be within range. This is likely to be the quickest ground that he has faced but he looks progressive and if he copes then he should run well. Fajita is a course winner and although not the easiest of rides he needs respect, along with Jazacosta and Will He Wish who both returned to form last time out. Seasonal Cross is very consistent and should once again run her race although it would be hard to say that she is amazingly handicapped. Gassin got bogged down last time out in heavy ground, King Columbo runs this track well but his best efforts have come on softish ground, whilst the drop in trip may suit Paint The Town Red who is edging back to a decent mark. Barliffey is better than recent efforts might suggest but his hold-up style of racing makes life tough; however with a decent pace likely in this big field he could pop up at a price. An open handicap where it is hard to be too dogmatic, but preference is for Regeneration.
