Verdict

If earlier races went to plan, this could turn out a very successful day for Jim Bolger's two-year-old runners. TRADING LEATHER trounced the opposition to land the odds at Gowran last time and may well come out best in a field full of promise for next year. Montiridge is unbeaten after edging ahead of stablemate Baltic Knight at Sandown and the latter has since beaten King Dragon. Cap O'Rushes has won both starts and Frankie Dettori keeps the ride while a quartet of winning debutants step up in class with Leopardstown winner Galileo Rock just preferred to Eye Of The Storm, Flying Officer and Glenard.
