A tough handicap to start with and the tentative vote goes to Tarteel with Champfleurie and Truly Enchanting just two dangers. John Dunlop's filly drops back to seven furlongs today having won two of her last three starts over a mile. She travels well in her races so with this likely to be run at a decent clip, it may play to her strengths and as long as the going doesn't become too soft, she can win again. Truly Enchanting finished in the first two in each of her first four starts, and then wasn't disgraced in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot. She looks a major player, along with Medley although six furlongs may suit best. Champfleurie has looked very much at home in the mud on her last two outings, will appreciate any further rain, and with Jamie Spencer in the plate, looks sure to run a big race. At bigger prices Whazzis could surprise with a first-time visor on, whilst Graduation may appreciate today's drop in trip and could get top marks. Recent winner Folly Lodge is another for consideration, however we will return to Tarteel as our idea of the winner.
