Verdict

Both Conduct and Anomaly return from lengthy absences but would be well worth a second look if the market spoke in their favour. The former has only run three times and is just a pound higher than when just beaten at Doncaster a year ago. The three-year-old Ningara has won twice at Sandown this year but is taking on better opposition here. Proud Chieftain is still 6lb higher than his last winning mark and neither Strictly Silver nor Beaumont's Party make much appeal on recent form. Fennell Bay is treading water off his current mark but CLAYTON showed a very willing attitude to score over course and distance two weeks ago and has only been raised 3lb. He must go close again today if in the same mood.
