Verdict

Red Shuttle invariably finds at least one too good and that is likely to be the case again today. Spyder makes his seasonal reappearance while Effigy looks a light of former days and it's difficult to make a case for either Larkrise Star or Galletto on recent form. My Guardian Angel disappointed at Chester after getting off the mark on softer ground at Doncaster so we're going to concentrate on the David Simcock pair at the head of the weights. Nave's last win, two years ago, came off an 8lb higher mark but the vote goes to SAMMY ALEXANDER who is a little less exposed and will appreciate the better ground having floundered in the Chester mud on his latest start in June.
