In depth

Verdict

Woodcutter is taken to score in the opener at the main expense of Conduit and Tanweer. The selection is a well-bred Daylami colt from a stable in good form. John Gosden has also got a very good strike-rate with his two-year-olds this season and he looks the percentage call. Tanweer is a colt from the Sir Michael Stoute yard, and the yard are in red hot form at present. He has also done well with his two-year-olds this season so this newcomer has to enter calculations. Similar comments would apply to Conduit, although he is bred to be suited by further in time. Several other top yard have representatives here so the market should provide plenty of clues, but Woodcutter can chop down his rivals and score.
