With favourites having a good record in this race the market should be a useful guide here, especially with regard to the newcomers, and we will side with RAGSAH to have the measure of Mama Lulu, while Layla Jamil looks an interesting debutant. Our pick showed plenty of zip despite being comfortably beaten over course and distance on debut last month. The Godolphin juveniles are beginning to fire and this Sharmardal filly looks capable of improving enough to go one better this time. Mama Lulu has twice been bridesmaid when sent off as favourite, and is not one to trust completely as a result. Both performances have been good and there should surely be more to come, though she did hang left quite badly last time and has a bit to prove. Layla Jamil has plenty of speed in her pedigree and comes from a yard whose juveniles have been enjoying a very good campaign. She is likely to be straight enough to go very well and should be checked out in the market. Apazine has shown enough form to be considered a player if the first-time blinkers have the desired effect, especially on this quicker ground, while Dualite is nicely bred for this sort of trip and is another to check in the betting. It is hard to believe that Our Way Only won't improve given her connections, but Ragsah can do the same and take this prize.
