Verdict

Three-year-olds have a decent record in this and 1000 Guineas third Maqaasid could prove the best of this year's representatives. But they face some stiff opposition from the older horses in a terrific renewal and SAHPRESA looks the one to beat. Rod Collet's mare won the Sun Chariot on the Rowley Mile here for the second time in October and has been placed at the highest level in Japan and Hong Kong since. A recent victory at Longchamp will have put her spot on and she's preferred to compatriot Lily Of The Valley. The latter was unbeaten last year ending the season with a Group 1 success in the Prix De L'Opera over 1m2f and could find today's trip on the short side nowadays, as could River Jetez, who won a Group 2 race over further at Meydan in February. First City had stablemate I'm A Dreamer behind when third at Ascot last time, but Antara could prove best of the home challenge.
