In depth

Verdict

After his success with the likes of Damson and Indesachel, anything that David Wachman sends over has to be respected, and so Aliceinwonderland is selected to make a winning debut over the two Donnas and Willmar. David Wachman is quickly stepping out of the shadows of his more illustrious countryman Aidan O'Brien due to his exploits over the past 12 months, and he may have another classy sort in Aliceinwonderland. A daughter of Danehill, she has plenty of stamina on the side of her dam who is related to the Coventry stakes winner Three Valleys, and holds an engagement in Redcar's Two-Year-Old Trophy this autumn for starters. With Mr Fallon on board it is safe to assume that she is not coming over just to be placed. Watch your bets if siding with Donna Blini or Donna Giovanna, neither of whom make great appeal on breeding although Donna Blini is related to winners from five furlongs and upwards. Willmar is by Zafonic and could be anything as could Rapsgate given her trainer's record with juveniles, but if the vibes are right, Aliceinwonderland is the one to be on.
