Tabaret is considered off the same mark that he went close off at Thirsk however he would prefer the ground a tad quicker and is taken on with the well-handicapped SEAMUS SHINDIG with Lochan Mor and Mirza the best of the rest. Henry Candy's course and distance winner shaped with a bit more promise here last month when fourth to Lujeanie. He meets that rival on 6lb better terms today and as a proven horse on most ground he shouldn't mind what the weather does. Lujeanie is considered but is now back up to a career-high mark, Tabaret is handicapped to strike and was unfortunate to get picked up at Thirsk last time in the shadows of the post, whilst Lochan Mor likes soft ground so this consistent gelding wouldn't want the ground to quicken up at all. Mirza is unexposed and was well in command at Ffos Las in July but this opening handicap mark of 82 demands more improvement, Tyfos is consistent but tends to race too keenly so cant quite see out his races as may be hoped, whilst Miss Faustina was on a roll when last seen in Ireland and is respected on this first start for Charlie McBride off a 5lb higher mark than her last win. Ginger Ted bounced back to form at Ayr last time out and the booking of J-P Guillambert is interesting, as is the employing of Kieren Fallon on Midnight Fantasy. A competitive handicap to finish with then and the nod goes to Seamus Shindig.
