Verdict

This is the time of year the big stables start sending out their decent two-year-olds, and we look to have a decent bunch here, so the newcomers Belenus, Cape Quest and Frith should be watched closely in the betting market, but we will stick with experience here and plump for Love Beauty. Mark Johnston's colt was made favourite for his debut in a modest Hamilton event, but could never get in a blow. This race appears to be much stronger, but with all the talent at Mark's disposal, he has opted to enter this son of Seeking The Gold, so expect a much improved performance. Belenus is the Godolphin representative and looks the part on paper being a son of Dubai Millennium out of a Barathea mare. Cape Quest is trained by Richard Hannon and holds an entry in the Redcar two-year-old Trophy. Meanwhile Frith is trained by Barry Hills who apparently is set to unleash some very good juveniles over the next couple of weeks, this could be one of them. So it is not the easiest of races to assess but Love Beauty may be able to put his experience to good use and taken to oblige.
