In depth

Verdict

Bridle Belle's run at Lingfield was clearly a pipe-opener and Richard Fahey's filly could be interesting here off a low weight. Useful hurdler Local Hero also catches the eye off a mark of 84 back on the Flat while Anatolian rattled up a hat-trick last summer and may yet make the leap to pattern company. Soft ground is a worry today, however, and Mahmood Al Zarooni also saddles the equally unexposed SANDUSKY who, on a line through Goodwood second Billy Buttons, has the beating of his stablemate on these terms. Mickael Barzalona's mount could easily make a winning return to action. Charles Camoin won on his reappearance at Kempton and is only 5lb higher while Franciscan was successful four times as a three-year-old, though didn't fare too well in a couple of tries on this surface as a juvenile.
