    Verdict

Blue Ksar showed decent form in two starts in France last year and it will be interesting to see what he achieves for Godolphin this term but, unless the rain arrives, he is hard to recommend and preference is for Purple Moon, who gets the vote ahead of Morghim. The selection has done nothing wrong so far, creating a favourable impression when making a winning debut at Newbury last month and, having run green there, he should improve significantly for the experience. Marcus Tregoning's Mulaqat was well held in the Craven and is probably best watched on that evidence even over this longer trip, while the Barry Hills-trained Criminal Act needs to improve on what he showed on his return at Newbury to trouble the judge. Silver Blue is far from certain to stay this far and of more interest may be John Dunlop's Morghim, who is entitled to come on for his promising return here at the Craven meeting as most of the yard's runners have looked in need of their first run. Purple Moon looked a colt of some potential on his debut though and he gets the vote to follow up over a trip that should bring about plenty of improvement.
