Verdict

Time to ask Granny for her lucky pin; ours comes down on THE CARLTON CANNES ahead of Bandama and Tastahil. The selection may have needed his recent run at Newbury given the fact that he had been off the track since April. With that in mind, his third place reads well and fully tuned up now this strong-stayer is fancied to run well off this same mark of 84. Tiffernati represents a stable in good form and is dropped back in trip today; he goes on any ground. Bandama was well backed last time out but never looked like featuring. He should get the strong pace that he needs but his heart doesn¿t look in the right place at the moment. Tastahil is very consistent but continues to edge up the handicap as a result for not winning, so a bigger danger may be the unexposed Secret Dancer but her stable are not in great form at present. Players Please is well treated on old form, as is The Last Drop who drops back in trip today. Agapanthus is one to watch in the betting in the Curley Leisure colours, however for the winner we will side with The Carlton Cannes.
