L'Ami Louis was beaten narrowly in this a year ago from a 4lb higher mark but hasn't been in that kind of form recently. CLEAR SPRING couldn't cope with Minalisa on his hat-trick bid at Yarmouth but that was no disgrace as the winner has since gone close in a Listed contest at Naas. John Spearing's charge runs from the same mark here and gets the vote. Head Space arrives in very good form and is by no means badly treated as he won from just 2lb lower around this time last year while Colonel Mak could hardly have scored more easily at Pontefract and a 6lb penalty is unlikely to prevent another big run. Miliika has the potential to go on to belter things, though she's been absent since November which may just count against her in such a competitive sprint.
