Verdict

LONDON STRIPE and Shernando may be the two to concentrate on here with September Morn best of the remainder. September Morn has all the entries but has returned a beaten favourite on three of his four career starts, including at odds-on last time, and may not be one to take too short a price about. Instead, we're going to side with London Stripe who also has his name down for some big engagements further down the line and he appears to be on a fair enough mark given that the Yarmouth second went on to win a handicap from a mark of 83. Mark Johnston has saddled two of the three winners of this race and is represented by easy Southwell winner Shernando who caught the eye on debut at Nottingham behind the useful Anhar who is due to run here on Saturday. He might not take up his Derby engagement but looks to be an interesting prospect at this level. The market will be useful given that all of the runners are relatively unexposed but London Stripe gets our vote.
