In depth

Verdict

HAZY OAKS is nominated here ahead of What Happened, Benmadigan and Teviot Lass. The selection steps up in trip today, something that looks a good move as she was outpaced last time at Sedgefield over two miles. This long straight will give her ample time to get into top gear and launch a sustained challenge and she looks worth siding with. Ardesia disappointed last time, as did the veteran Solway Sunset. Coming here in slightly better form is Remainder whose fourth to Classic Act over a marathon trip at Sedgefield last time reads well. What Happened was brought down last time out when still looking to hold every chance, however with Benmadigan and Teviot Lass there is a bit to take on trust as neither comes here in top form. At a price Letham Island could show up well but it is Hazy Oaks who can oblige.
