A poor contest with lots of exposed runners and we will side with TRISONS STAR for the in-form Ferdy Murphy to beat a few that are hard to fancy. The selection has three course and distance wins to his name, a definite plus around Gosforth Park, and he loves to get his toe in. Admittedly he has not been red hot just lately, but he can show more now he is back here and back on a winning mark. Conditions and trip also suit Getinbybutonlyjust, who is now back on a very handy mark on his first try at the circuit, so he can get closely involved. Darina's Boy has lost his way since winning last summer, while stablemate Sharp Belline is 17lbs lower than his last win, which came over two years ago, and he has the testing ground he loves. Almire Du Lia relishes cut and in the distant past he also enjoyed three wins at the track, but he is hard to get overly excited about, while Manoubi is not in bad form and does stay in the mud, so with Denis O'Regan up he has some sort of claim. Even so, we prefer those of Trisons Star.
