      Verdict

      MISS MITTAGONG will surely start a short priced favourite and rightly so as she looked a decent horse when winning her Nottingham maiden. She is taken to go in ahead of Battlemaiden and Huntingfortreasure. Ralph Beckett also has his string in fine form still and this American bred filly is taking to go in again as long as Newcastle doesn't receive any rain. Battlemaiden won her last start but was given an enterprising ride from the front. This Godolphin cast off may be capable of better but the selection will be tough to beat. Huntingfortreasure was awarded his last race by the clerk of the scales. He ran a respectable race and has plenty of ability but his attitude is a huge concern. Tres Coronas is another capable of getting in the mix but Miss Mittagong can send us home happy. Previews by Declan Rix
