In depth

Verdict

Battle Group has the form in the book to figure in this, but all three wins over timber have come on good ground so today's going is a worry. Hexham winner Sunnyside is another who may struggle with the underfoot conditions and preference is for YUROK. A winner at Carlisle on his hurdling debut, he found only the well-regarded Trustan Times too good at Wetherby last time. Third-placed Our Mick has won since and Sue Smith's hurdler can take this on his way to the Cheltenham Festival. Be True makes most appeal of the remainder.
