In depth

Verdict

Ellerslie George,Skippers Brig and Cheating Chance are three against the field in this competitive novices hurdle and the vote is given to Skippers Brig. The selection was a dfair sort in bumpers and won well whe n last seen when beating Supremely Gifted with plenty in hand. He is sure to have been well schooled for this huis hurdling debut and with his yard in form he looks the one to be on. Ellerslie George rates the main danger as he won well last time when beating Key Time but this looks more competitive and he looks vulnerable under his penalty. Cheating Chance is another that could go well as he has won his only race to date in good style and could be anything but his stables runners usually come on for their first run of the season and he is taken on with this in mind. Reel Charmer won well last time out but this looks tougher and the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Of the remainder Harry Flashman is proven in conditions and coud go well at a price but for the winner we return to the highly regarded Skippers Brig.
