      Verdict

      Peaceful Rule showed improved form for David Nicholls when chasing home Chain Of Events in a maiden at Redcar but he faces no easy task back in a handicap this evening in a race taken to go to GEORGE ADAMSON, who is marginally preferred to recent Ayr winner That'll Do Nicely. The Nicky Richards-trained gelding won with plenty in hand at Ayr by over four lengths but a 6lb penalty for that success makes this more difficult and he may have to settle for minor honours today. Smirfy's Silver is another that carries a penalty after a win last time having scored readily at Redcar last week but this is a harder race and he has to race off a career high mark. Brian Ellison's Sea Land receives weight from all his rivals and has claims off his low mark but he is no better than plating class and may struggle in this grade. The vote in a decent handicap though goes the way of Alan Swinbank's George Adamson, who has shown progressive form this term with two wins over course and distance and a decent effort when chasing home Highland Love at Beverley last time and he can go one better off a 2lb higher mark today.
