Bijou Dan is the selection in this affair with Annibale Caro and Smoothly Does It likely to go close. Although a better performer on the all-weather surfaces, Bijou Dan has displayed a modicum of ability on the level and might have got closer to Annibale Caro last time out had the jockey put in a more positive ride. The aforementioned horse has been a real credit to connections in recent weeks and was in the winners enclosure again at Musselburgh. He has been wisely turned out again before the handicapper gets a shot. Smoothly Does It is a fair hurdler on his day. Richard Fahey appears to have a run a policy of turning out his hurdlers on to the level and the market is inspected in order to see whether the Malton clan has their money on. Hits Only Vic is tried again over the trip. Declan Carroll¿s charge had looked fairly ordinary prior to a fair third in a Beverley maiden and has to be respected. Ja Myford is likely to be a fair price. Admittedly his form has recently been in plating contests but his recent run over 10f at Beverley showed a glimmer of promise.
