In depth

Verdict

Oh Pickles, Banoge, Bretton Woods and Supreme Builder are some of the more obvious contenders but a chance is taken with Mey Clouds at a potentially rewarding price. Bred to be an out and out stayer, this is the first time that Mey Clouds has tackled a trip in keeping and he has shown enough in his six starts to be worth a speculative interest. Second placed finishes in bumpers to Kealshore Lad and Berwick Law in testing conditions suggest he'll handle conditions whilst he appears to be heading the right way over hurdles judged on his latest run at Sedgefield. Bretton Woods finished about fourteen lengths in front of Supreme Builder last time on their hurdling bows; both will appreciate this longer trip and improve for the experience. The latter is held in high regard. There should be more to come from the penalised Oh Pickles at this trip and he isn't discounted whilst Banoge looks sure to get his head in front sooner rather than later. The suggestion though is Mey Clouds.
