In depth

Verdict

WEST BRIT makes plenty of appeal in this. He finished second on soft ground over a mile at Sandown on his latest start and Ed Dunlop's High Chaparral gelding will relish today's extra distance. Lifetime took a big step forward when third at Newmarket recently and there's a good chance the son of Shamardal will handle the give underfoot, while Eagle Rock is another expected to improve for the longer trip after showing glimpses of promise in two starts over a mile. Gold Tobougg has a bit to find but she handled the testing ground at Yarmouth on her debut and better is expected.
