Verdict

At first glance this looks very tricky, but Newcorp Lad does hold strong claims and is taken to beat Wrenlane and Night Frolic. The Geraldine Rees trained gelding slaughtered his rivals in a handicap over course and distance at the end of last month, before going down by just two lengths to Mistress Twister at Redcar. This appears to be the best recent form on show and he is a confident choice. Wrenlane was well beaten over hurdles last time , but his previous effort behind Incroyable was good enough to suggest he can go close here. Night Frolic wasn't beaten far in a reasonable handicap at Chepstow last time and can also make his presence felt. Tedstale Mac can also take a hand in the finish here at big odds, but on present form it is hard to ignore Newcorp Lad who looks set to return to winning ways.
