In depth

Verdict

Some unexposed and well regarded types in opposition make this an interesting opener. Sir Michael Stoute introduces Arakan who holds entries in both the Middle Park and Dewhurst so this son of Nureyev is respected while Cayman Breeze showed plenty of ability on his debut over 7f here late last month but the drop in trip may not be in his favour. Preference is for Parkland who shaped like a surefire future winner when narrowly denied in a tight finish over this trip on his Windsor debut last month. Roger Charlton's colt, who is also engaged for the Middle Park, will be sharper and his previous experience can be used to advantage.
