Verdict

AL MANAAL has plenty of pace in his pedigree being out of a 6f Listed winner and is the only Godolphin runner at the meeting. The market will tell us more about his chances but he could be good enough to make a winning start. The Sixties is a good yardstick but has been unable to find the necessary finishing burst on quick ground on his two latest starts and Hoofalong looks certain to go well. Mick Easterby's colt made a very pleasing debut at York where he was the only newcomer in the line-up and lack of experience probably cost him the race. He will make a bold bid to go one better though Grievous Angel looks a threat to all as she tackled fast going for the first time at Catterick and failed by just a head to catch Flighty Clarets.
