Verdict

Easily the most competitive race of the day and nothing can be ruled out. Ferdy Murphy's yard is at last beginning to show some form so BLACKPOOL BILLY is taken to gain his first victory over fences. A winning bumper and hurdler, jumping has let him down so far over the bigger obstacles but he's well enough handicapped to put those problems behind him. Categorical generally comes good at this time of year and likes this track though he's a massive 26lb higher than when scoring over the C&D last February. Diamond Frontier is better over further while Et Maintenant appears a few pounds high in the weights and both of Beamazed's victories have been on very heavy ground. Quiqui De L'Isle showed very little when trained in this country and it's difficult to know what to make of his three successes in the French Provinces. Camden George is generally consistent but one victory from 21 starts over fences is poor reward.
