Verdict

Aficionado went close in an amateurs race at Doncaster last Sunday and should figure, but MAGNOLIA RIDGE won an apprentices race at the same track a week ago. Rated 80 when landing a maiden race for Dermot Weld in Ireland last season, he remains on a winning mark for new connections and can go in again. Medieval Bishop will appreciate the return to a shorter trip after failing to stay 2m at York in September while Rosie Rebel can be given a chance on her third off today's mark at Catterick. Entihaa lost his way as last season progressed but was a runner-up in Class 2 company at Thirsk at the start of the year and would be thereabouts with a similar effort.
