Verdict

Quinder Spring has disappointed on his two most recent starts after looking a decent prospect and may be too high in the weights. Mansonien L'As is only moderate but jumps and stays and with his lowly weight should make his presence felt while, at the opposite end of the weight scale, Boris The Blade is well enough handicapped if able to recapture his best form. BEAU DANDY won a handicap at Ayr in February and started favourite back there a month ago. He was probably an unlucky loser after being badly impeded and consolation awaits here. Twice Lucky landed a novices' handicap at Kelso last month and was in front when falling at Wetherby last time so he looks a threat if none the worse for his mishap.
