In depth

Verdict

CAROLE'S LEGACY ran a blinder at Cheltenham and can go one place better here at the main expense of Over Sixty and Calusa Crystal. A giant mare, the selection should have no problem with shouldering her big weight today. Her second to Quevega is stand-out form and having won here before she may prove hard to beat on this return to fences. Over Sixty has made good progress this year and Alan King's daughter over Overbury is likely to run well off this mark of 143, Calusa Crystal got over her Doncaster hurdling disappointment when winning at Warwick in a hack canter earlier in the month, whilst Cool Friend is game and consistent and is better off with Carole's Legacy for defeats over the winter but she lacks the scope for improvement. Wychwoods Legend doesn't have too much to find on that Ffos Las form, Double Hit has looked a little clumsy at times and this ground may not help her jumping, whilst Tot Of The Knar and Daraz Rose both have plenty to find with Calusa Crystal on their run at Warwick last time out. Moulin De La Croix is gutsy but likely to struggle in this classy company from miles out of the weights, as we select top-weight Carole's Legacy to lead them home.
