Verdict

BLESSINGTON came up short in much better company at Ascot last time but had a subsequent winner behind when finishing runner-up. John Gosden's colt looks the one to beat on that evidence. Jack Luey should handle the ground but has looked a shade high in the weights since winning at Redcar back in May and Tariq Too won't have any problem with today's surface either, although he's done all his winning over 7f. O'Gorman has a shout off his current mark and Whipper Snapper may get involved as he scored over 7f here on his penultimate start.
