Beaver Patrol, Pango and Rising Shadow are the three to consider here and Beaver Patrol is taken to lead them home. With wins at Epsom and Newmarket to his credit this season, Pango had been the epitome of consistency until a disappointing run at Newmarket last time when made favourite. Although we can all have an off day, it may be the handicapper has now caught up with him and he is overlooked. Rising Shadow looks sure to run well. He has not won since scoring at Newcastle in June but was a close third at York to Borderlescott recently and followed up that solid effort with a close fifth at Newmarket last time. For the selection though we turn to Beaver Patrol. A winner at Goodwood two outings ago, he found the ground too soft when finishing sixth at York last time. Beaver patrol can resume winning ways here.
