Verdict

Baitha Alga carries a penalty for his win in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and ran a shocker in the Gimcrack last time. Jungle Cat was only beaten in a nose in that Group 2 on the Knavesmire and sixth Beacon won the Flying Childers last week, though the third and fourth have been well beaten since. Toocoolforschool has been running well over 7f lately so this drop in distance is a bit of a worry. Henry Candy really likes LIMATO (NAP) and his colt justified the confidence shown in him when winning a Listed race over track and trip on his Turf debut. The second that day, Cotai Glory, would have won the Flying Childers had he not swerved and unseated George Baker near the winning post so the form looks top class. Strath Burn was only beaten half-a-length in the Prix Robert Papin and also enters the equation while York winner Mubtaghaa is certainly no mug.
