    Verdict

Nayef is a past winner of this, though those that followed didn't prove as successful. Richard Hannon has supplied two of the last three winners and Pupil carries his hopes this time around having got off the mark at Doncaster last week. Marcus Tregoning has trained the winner five times in total, including two years ago, and Castle Combe shaped nicely behind the impressive What About Carlo at Goodwood. Pinzolo was a 400,000gns yearling and is a half-brother to three winners. He made a successful start at Newmarket and could be useful though, like Pupil, carries a penalty here. RED GALILEO has only found one too good at Newmarket and York so far and still has an entry in the Racing Post Trophy. He finished ahead of a subsequent winner last time and Ed Dunlop's colt is taken to open his account in this.
