    Verdict

DAR ES SALAAM is a tentative selection to land this wide open handicap where Cupid's Glory, Slip and Higgy's Boy could be cited as three of the main dangers. Second last time out at Sandown when racing from 4lb out of the handicap, it might have been that the slight ease in the ground brought about an improved performance. Cupid's Glory landed a gamble when winning at Great Leighs having dropped to what looked an attractive mark. He has received a rise of 7lb for that and that leaves him remaining well handicapped on his best form. Given the yards record of sweating up horses like Cupid's Glory he could well score once again. Slip has an inexperienced claimer aboard to counteract his rise in the weights but remains open to some improvement while Higgy's Boy looked to have found the ground too soft last time but a re-production of his second behind Soft Shoe Shuffle would make him a contender. Buddy Holly was in fine form throughout the early part of the season but now looks to have been grabbed by the assessor. Dar Es Salaam is nominated to come home in front.
