Verdict

Kaki De La Pree didn't do a lot wrong on his chasing bow at Exeter in a race that's working out well. He'll strip fitter here and has to go on the short-list while Oscar Fortune improved on his Worcester debut at Wetherby last time. Viva Steve and Astigos both catch the eye near the foot of the weights and Chase The Spud arrives off the back of a victory at Exeter. Minella One Line was beaten less than two lengths when fourth at Ascot but is possibly a shade high in the weights. David Pipe has always liked GEVREY CHAMBERTIN and it could be worth forgiving the grey a couple of runs against experienced opposition in Grade 3s. He's very well treated if first-time blinkers have the desired effect.
