Verdict

LUCKY BEGGAR (NAP) made a winning reappearance in last year's renewal. He has a run under his belt this time around and there is no reason why he should not make another bold bid off only a 1lb higher mark. Steps looked in the handicapper's grip for most of last year after winning at Haydock in May, with Noble Storm well beaten, and Robot Boy remains 11lb higher than his success at Newcastle last summer. But Boom The Groom has been in fine form on the all-weather and has the beating of both Green Door and Normal Equilibrium on the form book.
