Verdict

Some beautifully-bred fillies here including Saddaqa, who has been performing at a high level in maidens and was beaten narrowly by Phaenomena here earlier this month. The winner is trained by Lady Cecil who has Archive entered here and, though slightly disappointing at Goodwood, the daughter of Dansili will appreciate this longer trip. After a very encouraging debut on this track, BONANZA CREEK came up against a progressive winner in Lemon Pearl at Nottingham and, with further progress likely, is handed the verdict. Fossola started favourite in that latter event but was well beaten but Snow Powder, who finished last on her debut when strongly fancied, ran better in a tougher maiden at Ascot last month and is another likely to show further improvement.
