In depth

Verdict

Aldabra is given the vote in the finale with Restoration and Celticello rated as the main dangers. The selection is a well-bred colt by Green Desert and he will not have to be anything special to win this on his racecourse debut. The market should be noted for clues, but if there is any confidence behind this colt from the Sir Michael Stoute yard then it could pay to follow the money. Restoration is the one we fear the most as he showed promise on his racecourse debut when a good second in a weak maiden at Redcar behind Game Lad. More is required to win this but he ran green that day so he is sure to benefit from the run and his yard is in good form so he can't be dismissed lightly. Celticello is another to note in the market on his debut as he could be a leading player on breeding. Stanbury ran well on his debut and he will certainly be suited by the step-up in trip. He is a big scopey individual and his yard are in form so he has to be of interest. However, we are happy to stick with Aldabra as our idea of the winner.
