    Verdict

AZMEEL, Blakey's Boy and Lucky General are the three to concentrate on here with the vote going the way of John Gosden's runner. The three principals have entries in all the top juvenile races and this will provide a nice stepping stone for them. Lucky General has the edge in experience and regained the winning thread at Windsor where he had little to beat. The proximity of the second is a worry although the step back up in trip should suit. Blakey's Boy did well to win at Salisbury given how green he ran but he was going away at the line. He's open to considerable improvement but those behind haven't done an awful lot for the form in subsequent outings. Azmeel also won going away at Sandown in a maiden that was won by a very smart performer in 2008. He was sent off at odds-on so had clearly been showing up well at home and he could be a smart performer in the making and, hopefully, Azmeel can cement his reputation here.
