In depth

Verdict

KONA COAST can put his experience to good use in division two of this maiden and he is preferred to the likes of Botanist and Najd. Once again there is not much public form to go on here but there was plenty to like about the way Kona Coast showed up on his debut as he missed the break but stayed-on well in a decent Newmarket maiden. If he can build on that effort then he should be in the shake-up. Botanist makes plenty of appeal on breeding and although he is likely to do better over slightly further in time, he should be capable of a bold show on his racecourse bow. Godolphin have been in decent form of late so Najd, a colt by Storm Cat, has to be respected on his introduction to the racecourse. Poltergeist was disappointing last time, while Spa's Dancer will need to improve to feature in the finish. We will nominate Kona Coast who will not need to find much improvement to shed his maiden tag.
